Comment Time: What Social Media Resources Do You Pass Along from Your Direct Sales Company?

A couple of weeks ago I wrote a post asking you which Facebook Pages you returned to…what made them valuable for you?  Well the comments were AWESOME and provided a TON of useful resources. I’ve had many corporate folks comment to me that it really helped them in their planning process.  YOU did that.  Thank you.  I hope that anyone with a Facebook Page takes the time to read those comments…they’re really compelling and valuable.  THANK YOU for taking the time to share your thoughts.  You ROCK.

In that spirit, I’d like to ask you another question.  Please take a couple of minutes and share your views before you click away.  I would really appreciate it!!!

Chances are, your direct sales company is working hard to provide you with content and resources that you can pass along to your prospects and customers through social media.  These might be videos, applications, widgets, articles, project ideas, etc.  I would love for you to share today what you find to be the most valuable resources to pass along.  What does your company provide that is really useful?  Are there things your company hasn’t provided that you would love to have them produce?  What do these resources do for your business?  How do/would they help you? Are there things the company provides that you never use?  Why not?

Please take an extra minute today and share your thoughts.  It is much appreciated!!!

As far as Facebook resources, we pass long photos, videos, links to industry articles, links to company product orientated articles, links to other websites that mention our products, and a daily post we call “Mental Vitamins”.

Hi Jen; First of all, I would like to say how much I loved your presentation at NTC !! Yaay !!
secondly, I would like to say my other job is F/A for an airline that aquired another airline recently, and these people should be regarded appropriately due to their loss. I had not realised this, but your comments make sense. Thank you for helping me to be more sensitive. I am glad to learn anything I can about social media as I am just getting started using it. Thank you for your comments and website. cheri, Horseshoe, Idaho

My company does a lot for us. We have a rep website which we can do eParties, online events (fundraising drive), blog as well as giving our customers the ability to order direct or have their order personally delivered by us to them. On the social media side, we can add a Facebook Badge or Storefront to our profile. For training, an extensive online training section is available to all reps and they have just started doing live webinars as well. I’m thankful for all that my company puts together to help us out.

I should also add that we are provided with professional images of products that we can use for our social media postings.

We get a weekly newsletter that has all sorts of content from candle combination “recipes”, to display ideas, product questions, and videos from our co-founders. I love that these things are easy to share through social media, especially because each spot in the newsletter has a link to a webpage where the information is shared, so I can link directly to the webpage.

I am a Stylist with Stella & Dot.

Their logos & designs are available to us to use anywhere in our business. The freedom to print my own business material using these logos and templates (I also design some of my own, which they support as well) is fantastic, and gives me the ability to support local business.

Stella & Dot support us using blogs & social media to promote our businesses. Their guidelines for social media are clear & easy to work with. I appreciate that they trust us as Stylists with their branding & that they understand we will only use these tools to further our businesses – furthering their success.

Stella & Dot has a fantastic Stylist only forum where we can chat with each other, post questions, goals & ideas. I have learned SO much information because of this forum, it’s been one of the top reasons why my business is successful. Having access to Stylists who have more experience than I is invaluable.

Having videos and pictures available to me to post in my Facebook group is a HUGE help to my business. I can share these with my clients as soon as they are available, no having to link to other sites to see them. Less clicks for client = more time they spend on my business.

Stella & Dot also do an automatic monthly e-mail to all of the clients in my database. That is a huge help as it’s something I don’t have to worry about. My clients are getting the specials/news/info they need without me having to put something of my own together.

I love sharing project ideas the CM shares with me. These are what my customers look for so I pass them along 🙂 I also share sign on bonus info – to help with my recruiting.

I’m also a CM consultant and love all our blogs, ideas, etc. I’m good at using our own digital products. I have set up my facebook groups. But still working on LINKING properly. I want good offerings. If I want to share a downline’s idea, I should get her permission, correct? Still learning sharing etiquette.

So basically the problem is not my company but with me getting the system down.

I am an Independent Consultant with PartyLite Canada. PartyLite has a “Learning Center”, where they will post different articles, videos, etc. These, I am able to add to my Facebook group for my customers. One of the items I really like is the monthly virtual show. It is a video that I can send to my customers and attach to my Facebook for customers to see a virtual show for the month. It highlights all the specials. I love it.

I am a CM Consultant ~ I am so appreciative CM partnered with you to help us learn as well as them ensuring they added the great SM Professional “Rockin’ Jenny” 🙂

It is very helpful to have “go to people” to learn from although as the SM world continues to be be rapidly changing/rapidly continuing to improve/grow I think it is important they ensure (all DS Companies you work with 🙂 not only CM) they properly forecast/budget for staff growth/continued retention of you/your awesome services in this area otherwise there may be a gap in continuity-of-care for/with consultants thus leaving the opportunity for frustration to develop and you know what this means… 😉

    Frustrated consultants = 🙁 for all… lol but true…

For example, I have lots of SM best practice questions I need to learn the answers to although I value your time/know how busy you are thus I do not contact you b/c I do not want to infringe on your schedule…

I also am not sure if I am missing the “share link” on the CM Blog?? although if I am not missing it and it isn’t really there yet I think it is most beneficial for CM/all DS Companies that have added blogging to their home pages to add this feature ASAP b/c the more we can easily share posts the home office staff are posting then hopefullu more click through’s back to the home page etc- you know the drill Jenn- 🙂

For example, I greatly value so many of the CM Blog posts shared although today, like many days, when I wanted to/want to share a post from Dr. Mark I had to go to my own page to shorten the link/share the link etc etc verus just being able to click “share” and it share directly to my Twitter/FB…

Thank you for all you do for all of the DS Professionals across the world!! 🙂

I’m a Creative Memories Consult and pleased to say that CM has provide product tips, ideas, photo safety information, etc. via their website and blogs that I am able to link to my FB page and group to share with customers. They also have blogs and videos to share on our pages.

Our Social Networking Coordinator has also created numerous challenges that get people involved actually using the product and learning the software programs.
