Get Yourself to National Conference

Here I am keynoting at the Livinity National Conference

OK, if you’re one of those people who has looked at the price of getting to your company’s national conference and stopped there, this post is for you.

First, a question.  How important is your business to you?  That’s a serious question. If you simply don’t care, or will let your business be whatever it is without any steering from you, then this message is probably not going to resonate with you.

But if you got into this business to make money, then listen up.  Because National Conference is one of the single most important things you can do for your business all year.  Of course you need to sell products and recruit.  But you also need motivation, recognition, and the latest professional development to maximize your sales and recruiting activities.  And where does that happen?  National Conference.

In fact, I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that you can’t afford NOT to go to National Conference if you want to make money with your business.  It’s where you network with your colleagues, get a fresh batch of enthusiasm, get trained, get up-close with the latest products, and get to know your company execs.  You’ll probably go home with lots of free product that will enhance your ability to market your business effectively.  And you’ll be able to see, in person, everything else.  And seeing what you sell makes a BIG difference.

Plus you’ll hear the stories of all the people in your company that will inspire you, and may be just the story that will help a prospect on the fence become a new recruit in the business.

Studies in this industry have shown that people that attend National Conference MAKE MORE MONEY.

Don’t cheat yourself.  Get to National Conference.  It’s worth every penny.

And you just might see me there, too.  I’m speaking at several National Conferences this summer on the topic of social media. Wouldn’t you like to receive that training in person?

Get there.

Are you going?  Share it below!

Thank you so much Jen for posting this. With 18 years of Direct Sales experience, and an Executive Director with Origami Owl, I have personally seen the transformation and the excitement of 1,000’s of people on my team and other teams within our company. You get to know your fellow designers, see and feel the excitement. I know that is very cliche but you “drink the Koolaid” and then know you can live the mission and do great things with whatever company are with.

I’m registered for our National Convention at the end of July. Can’t wait to reconnect with fellow consultants from all over North America and to see the new fall product launched. It is such a boost to a slow business to attend conference. I know what ever it costs to attend I can recoup if I implement what I learn when I get home. Great place to meet a pacing partner, too!

Another great reason for going to your company’s conferences is because that’s where your leaders are; if you want to be a leader, go where the leaders go and get to know them!!!

I’m going, and I am excited! I had to miss the last two years due to my husband’s closing down his mortgage company and looking for work, but hadn’t missed one in the 7 years prior to that! Now I’m super excited to be attending again, because I know what benefits there are. What motivation is to be had at National Conference!! The only thing holding me back from accomplishing the goals and action steps I set will be me. May it never be! 🙂

Jenn, I hope one day to hear you at our National Conference! Thank you for spreading the word on how social media, correctly used, can impact our businesses.

I have never missed one yet in the 7 years I have been a consultant and I never plan to miss one going forward. I ditto everything you have said and love the injection of excitement I have for my fall business after I attend our National Convention!
