How to Add a Contact Form to Your WordPress.com Blog

Are you trying to add a newsletter sign-up to your WordPress.com blog?  Have you discovered that WordPress.com doesn’t allow forms or scripts in text widgets?

If you don’t have an account with an auto-responder like Aweber or Constant Contact that hosts forms for you, it may be very difficult for you to find a way to allow people to sign up for your newsletter through your blog.

If you don’t mind a manual process once you’ve received each name and email (you have to manually take those names and add them to your newsletter mailing list one by one) here’s a step-by-step way that you can add a newsletter sign-up form to your WordPress.com blog.  Click the link below to access the document.  You’ll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view it.

Wow, I was looking for something like this but didn’t know how to go about it for free. Thanks for this tip – looking forward to trying it out this weekend. Hope I can do it! I’m glad I found you on the net! It’s wonderful to be connected to many talented people!

    Jennifer,
This is very helpful. Do we need this if we use wordpress.org?
Am I understanding from others correctly that if I want to retain all control and rights to what I put on a blog, that I should go with wordpress.org?

    Thanks.
