Is It Worth It?

Every day is busy, filled with a flurry of activity for family, business, volunteering, and the like. Sometimes we get so busy that we simply go through the motions, just doing what’s expected of us.

Today the Direct Selling Education Foundation shared a post called “How Are Those Goals Working for You?” In it, they talk about how sometimes our goals are what everyone else expects of us. But it’s not the stuff we’re passionate about. In fact, if we’re not careful, we can spend our whole lives simply living the life that others expect of us, and completely miss out on our passion.

I have a feeling that Steve Jobs lived his passion. He also left an incredible legacy for the world. Your daily existence is different because he lived.

What kind of a legacy are you leaving?

Take a few minutes today to review your path. What direction are you heading? What passions are you feeding? Is your daily work fulfilling, or do you need to make some adjustments?

I saw this beautiful video today on Facebook. It’s narrated by Steve Jobs, and it’s the first “Think Different” commercial that Apple aired. See what you think.

The things you do…are they worth it? Do they make a difference? Or is it time for a change? Only you can answer that. But you have to sit still long enough to ask the question.

Your thoughts?

You know, your comment about “you can end up living your whole life living what other people want you to do” (or something to that effect) should hit home for alot of people.

The direct selling and the home business industry is still, even with the advent of the internet, one of the best ways to earn from what you are passionate about.

    Hey Jen, Love the blog….:)

Every one needs a determination and sense of management in life. That is why setting goals are so important for our success. Regrettably, lot of people do not bother and barely leave everything to chance. They may believe they won’t accomplish their goals, so fear forbids them going any further. Or, they do not know how to set goals.

Prior to setting any goals for yourself, it is genuinely important that you know what you want to be in your life. Otherwise it is really hard to get anywhere. The opportunity to get successful exits us by from time to time. But you must understand what you require in order to capture a good opportunity while it comes your way. In order to recognise where you are going into life, a careful plan of action is necessary.

Added a trackback to one of my posts about setting goals hope you don’t mind..

What an awesome post. Especially setting goals based on what others say you should have (i.e., big house, car, lots of money), when you may just want a dream to have more time for family or be able to take it slow. Awesome post that makes you think. Thanks for sharing.
