It’s November! We’re entering into the biggest season of the year for most direct sellers. Now is the time to be booking as many parties as possible, helping your customers make gift lists, and contacting former customers for gift orders.
But what about your own gift list?
While you’ll naturally do a lot of gifting from your own product line, there may be other types of gifts that you need. Where are you planning on buying those?
A few weeks ago, Jay Rudman, the CEO of Paperly (a direct selling company), suggested that one of the best ways direct sellers can support our economy is to shop from each other. What a great idea! Imagine a direct selling only holiday! It’s a great way to share with the ones that you love all the great things that our industry has to offer (which adds to the legitimacy of your career choice.) It’s also a way to support local business owners instead of giving all your cash to big box stores.
Here are just some of the amazing things you can purchase through direct sellers:
- Ready-to-Prepare Meals
- Candles (with or without wicks!)
- Romance Products
- Crafting and Scrapbooking Products
- Health and Wellness Products
- Cosmetics and Skin Care
…and much, much more. I think you can find something for everyone on your list just by looking at what our industry has to offer. And even better, by hosting a party and supporting another direct seller, you can check items off your own list for free!
So will you join me? Will you make this holiday season a direct selling only gift giving occasion?
If so, share your own company name, product line, and link to your personal website in the comments below. And help spread the word! If you blog, write your own post about this (post a link below in the comments so I can share your post with my network too!) And share through your social networks.
Let’s support one another and make this a direct selling holiday season. We’ll fix this economy one direct seller at a time.
