In the northeast where I live, spring is finally making its first appearances. Although the cold weather still blows at the morning bus stop, most of the snow has disappeared, and leaves from the flower bulbs are starting to push their way through the sodden earth.
And it’s really got me to thinking about growth.
This has been a miserable winter in NJ, and many other places. There’s no other way to phrase it. We’ve been buried under many feet of snow. It’s been cold. Even the kids are done with it.
And yet.
Even though the grass is STILL flattened from being buried under snow all winter, the bulbs are starting to grow.
Even though the wind hasn’t given up yet, the forsythia bushes are budding.
Even though it’s not yet officially spring, we get warm afternoons that promise warmer weather yet to come.
Living things are wired for growth. Even when winter hits us with its worst, things still thaw. Things still grow.
Even us.
Even if you feel like your business just isn’t yet what you want it to be, you are WIRED for growth. Created to be more. Maybe this season isn’t blooming for you. It doesn’t mean its over.
The flower bulbs and the grass could have given up after this crazy winter. But they didn’t.
And you shouldn’t either.
We can continue to work to create conditions for growth. Setting goals. Blocking out time. Making phone calls. Meeting friends and prospects online. These are the things you can control.
You are wired for growth. And by creating the conditions, you will experience the growth that’s coming.
Don’t give up.

Likewise, my friend!
“Even if you feel like your business just isn’t yet what you want it to be, you are WIRED for growth. Created to be more. Maybe this season isn’t blooming for you. It doesn’t mean its over.” I’m making this into a sign that I will hang in the window next to my desk. Beautifully said, and inspiring. It’s been a miserable winter in the Midwest as well, but this is just what I needed to get me out of bed this morning, and I was energized to see how much I could accomplish today! THANK YOU Jennifer! I always say, YOU ROCK! Keep up the great work! We ARE listening!
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
